Singkawang Part 2

In front of “Pasar Beringin”, one of the biggest, busiest and most crowded market here. People seem to love stopping for a small talk when running errands. Because there isn`t much of an entertainment here, the locals spend their afternoon walking in the wild, kinda like an easy hiking. I used to do it when I was in high school. I love this shot a lot. This cat didn`t move at all while I took its pictures. It didn`t acknowledge anyone`s presence. But when I walked closer to the cat, a dog from inside the house started to bark. I left right away not wanting to get bitten.People still dry their clothes outside of their houses. It`s very economical considering they just need two poles and a string. The city at night. One of the most famous and oldest temple in Singkawang, Maitreya.Last night was actually the first time that I ever stepped feet close to this place to take some pictures. Too bad the temple was close for the day. But I could still see through what`s inside. My brother had taken some really great pictures of this place during Chinese New Year when the candles were all lit.The biggest mosque here. It`s still under some reconstruction. But I love the colors and the intricate design of the building.
